Roald Dahl is the major inspiration behind fun-loving children’s author David Walliams.
Elmer is the cheerful patchwork elephant who teaches children that being different is something to celebrate.
It’s the national year of Reading!
We are celebrating this Saturday at Forbury Gardens, 11-4pm at the launch event of the Reading Children’s festival – a free family event open to all!
Join us where we will be running a wonderfully creative children’s art competition filled with colour, imagination, and quirky characters!
Children aged 5–8 are invited to design their very own Elmer elephant masterpiece
Whilst ages 8–12 can dream up an original character inspired by the magical and mischievous world of Roald Dahl.
Expect plenty of fun, creativity, and fantastical ideas — plus winners will receive a free sketchbook and 10% off when booking onto future Arty classes!*
