A Dose of Nature Wild Day

Next dates

  1. Saturday, 28 March 2026
    1. 12:00 - 16:00

Join us for A DOSE OF NATURE WILD DAY!  Step into Spring at Holy Brook Nook with Nature Nurture, Food4Families and special guest,  THE NATURE DOCTOR and discover how nature supports our wellbeing.

This is your Dose of Nature – a great day outdoors for all ages designed to boost wellbeing, lift mood and reconnect you with the natural world.

Inspired by the idea that nature is good medicine, our Dose of Nature day explores how time outdoors supports our health through all five senses…and all just a few minutes walk from Reading town centre.

Hmmm, I wonder which department you’ll be guided to…

  • Hearing Hub
  • Smell Station
  • Touch Trail
  • Taste Space
  • Sight Studio

Expect fresh air, laughter, creativity and moments of calm – all served with a dash of nostalgic 1950s charm.

We’re so excited to be working with The Nature Doctor from Green Trees Education , Food4Families and A Noisy Silence.

Holy Brook Nook, nr Brook Street West RG1 6HF. Parking is very limited, so it’s best to come by bus, on foot, or by bike.

There are only a few two-hour spaces close to Holy Brook Nook. If you’re driving, the nearest car park is at Broad Street Mall, or you can find unrestricted parking on St Saviour’s Road and Holybrook Road.

If you’re coming on foot or by bike, it’s just a 6 minute walk from Reading Police Station on Castle Street.

Spending time in nature is linked to:

  • reduced stress and anxiety
  • Improved mood and focus
  • Better physical health
  • Stronger connection with others and the world around us
  • More motivation to care for nature
It’s FREE! And there’s no need to book. Just come on over and bring your friends and family too.
