Welcome to the 2024 Silchester Country Fayre and Dog Show.

Silchester Country Fayre now incorporates the hugely popular Dog Show with our doggy competitors travelling from as far away as Southampton and London. The local Market also now joins in the fun, adding more interest for fete goers. There's also fun for all the family with inflatables, birds of prey show and so much more. 

Held on Saturday 5th September, from 11am - 4pm. Silchester Country Fayre and Dog Show is staged to raise funds for the village’s beautiful 12th century church, St Mary the Virgin, at the edge of the Roman walls surrounding the earlier iron age settlement, and then Roman town of Calleva. If you have not been, it is well worth a visit, set in the midst of our beautiful north Hampshire countryside.

St Mary the Virgin Church is a wonderful example of Middle Ages architecture boasting some significant historic features both inside and out. But equally important, it has been the home to a vibrant church community and still is today. Worship occurs there every Sunday and the building is open every day for private prayer, meditation or just a look around.

Your support in attending Silchester Fete and Dog Show helps maintain this magnificent Grade 1 Listed building. Other local charities who will be present will also benefit from your spending on the day.
