Broad Street Mall is going all-out GREEN, this Green Week!
With this year’s ‘Great Big Green Week’ just around the corner, Broad Street Mall is doing its bit to be more sustainable, and is inviting customers to join them on their journey!
Not only is the whale installation eco-friendly, having been made out of recyclable and biodegradable biomaterial, but it is also a recycling point where visitors can come along to drop off their plastic bottles and do their bit for the planet.
The giant whale will be in place from 8th June, right the way through to 7th July and is free to use.
Visitors are also invited to check out Broad Street Mall’s top tip sustainability guide, highlighting how to have a more sustainable trip to the centre. The guide includes a whole host of information, from recycling and reducing food waste to sustainable purchases and where you can get water refills. All details are available on the centre’s website, www.broadstreetmall.com.
Sustainability and ‘green living’ are really important to the centre and the initiatives on offer this Green Week help to encourage customers to think about how they can shop more sustainably, as well as highlighting that small changes can make a big difference.
Steven Connolly, Centre Manager at Broad Street Mall says ‘Sustainability is an important focus for us at Broad Street Mall and we are always looking at ways we can better tackle climate change. We are also really excited to introduce our whale installation that will be with us for the next month, and we hope that this will really encourage families to think about the importance of recycling. We hope that people will take away with them some key tips that they can share with the wider community, as well as initiatives they can implement in their own day to day lives’
