The Acorn Centre provides a nurturing, engaging environment for Pre-Reception children to grow, explore and thrive. Children can start as soon as they turn 3, building independence, creativity and confidence for a seamless transition into Reception.

We offer flexible, year-round care from 7:45am to 6:00pm from £62 per day, including up to 15 hours of government-funded places. Our structured days balance uninterrupted play, guided learning and outdoor activities, helping children develop early phonics, mark-making and counting skills. With nutritious meals and personalised attention, every child is supported in their development.

Open 50 weeks a year, including Holiday Club outside term time, we provide flexible attendance patterns to suit families. Located opposite the University of Reading and near Royal Berkshire Hospital, we offer a convenient setting with wraparound care and accept childcare vouchers.
