Splash Pads & Paddling Pools in Berkshire

Splash Parks and Outdoor Pools in and around Berkshire!

Feeling Hot Hot Hot? The weather is finally warming up, so we have pulled together a round up of some of the best local splash pads, water parks and outdoor pools near Wokingham to keep cool over the summer.

Not all these splash parks are open yet, but we will update this guide regularly to keep you up to date with what’s open when.


Jocks Lane Splash Park
Open from May half term, until early September, this is one of the most popular splash pads in the local area! There is so much to do here, including a brilliant playground, a large playing field and plenty of space for picnics. There is an onsite café with toilet facilities open during peak times.

This isn’t the largest of splash pads but it's ideal for toddlers.

Open daily from 11am - 4.30pm
There is plenty of free parking

Locks Ride Splash Park

Locks Ride splash park maybe as close to a beach holiday as we will get this year! With Sand and Water play this is a super popular one for the kiddies.

Please note: The snack cabin is currently closed...but keep an eye out HERE for up-to-date information. 

There is plenty of free parking and toilet facilities.
Open Daily from 10:30am - 1pm and 3pm - 5pm.

Great Hollands Splash Park

Open from May half term, until early September, the whale splash pad at Great Hollands features 13 water soakers and 2 bucket drenchers! The buckets slowly fill with water before tipping over to drench anyone standing underneath; perfect for cooling off on a hot day! The splash pad also features mini fountain jets, water bouquets and water tunnels!

There are plenty of picnic spots on the Great Hollands Field next door along with free parking and toilet facilities.

The coffee shop onsite open between 11am-4.30pm
Splash Pad will be open daily between 1pm and 4.30pm.

California Country Park Paddling Pool

2025 opening date...TBC. We are still waiting for confirmation of when California Splash Pad will be open for the summer period, you can check here. Fab play park alongside the splash pad. Jacksons Café is also well worth a visit for drinks and snacks. 

There is plenty of carparking, charges do apply.

Wellington Country Park

Now Open Wellington has a huge splash zone within the park which is now open. It can get busy during peak times so our top tip is to visit earlier in the day when it opens at 10am. We often get the splash pad to ourselves for half an hour or so if we go at that time.

Beale Park

The Paddling Pool at Beale Park is open every day during the summer months when the temperature reaches above 15 degrees. It's very shallow, approximately knee height for toddlers, but it's great for a splash around and to cool off.

Woodford Park Paddling Pool

The paddling pool at Woodford is due to open 24th May 2025, please check here for more details. Normally open from 11am – 6pm.

Christchurch Paddling Pool 

Get ready to make a splash! The Christchurch Meadows paddling pool reopens Saturday 24th May, in time for half-term.

The pool has been cleaned, resealed and painted in preparation for welcoming everyone back for a paddle.

From Saturday 24 May, the pool will be open and staffed daily, seven days a week.

School holidays:
Monday to Sunday 10am to 6pm

Term time:
Monday – Friday 11am to 5pm
Saturday and Sunday 10am to 6pm

Stoke Park Paddling Pool

Guildford Borough Council are preparing to open the paddling pool soon, please keep an eye on HERE for up to date information. 

There is now wheelchair access to the pool. Public toilets are available.

There is parking available but charges do apply. The paddling pool is free to visit and no booking is required.

Guildford Lido

Open now until September, but pre-booking in advance is essential as it gets very busy on sunny days. To book your tickets, visit the website HERE 

Pool will open from 10:30 (earlier for online bookings). Slide open 10:30am - 6pm on Saturdays/Sundays and holidays.

Frensham Great Pond Farnham

A huge sandy lake with beach to play on and build sandcastles, swimming in clearly marked areas. There is a network of footpaths and a beautiful circular loop around the lake which is suitable for buggies. There is a visitor centre, café, toilets.
No bookings are required and it can get popular in the summer months so arrive early if you can. The carpark is often full by 10am on hot busy days.

Aldershot Lido

The lido is open from 10am to 6pm:
